Jeremy, Crui.se Expert
A first for me as I usually cruise the rivers in Germany, the Seine river cruise was a really nice blend of city life and peaceful Normandy countryside. I have visited Paris many times, but the impression of this city from the river was different. This is one of the most varied river cruises I have sailed on because of the mix of town and country, and you get a real sense of how important the Seine is culturally and historically as it flows from Paris to the English Channel. This cruise will appeal to so many different people, and of course, it goes without saying that the food and wine are just excellent!

You’ll need a visa and potentially more than one if you intend to extend your holiday beyond France or link up with another river cruise. Passengers are responsible for arranging their own visas and should do this well before their cruise date. Our helpful booking team can provide some general advice on what’s involved when you make your reservation.
Our Seine River Cruises are typically seven days long. Some Seine cruises run in both directions, allowing our customers to choose to board in Paris and travel along the Seine, disembarking on Le Harve, or oppositely, customers can board in Le Harve and disembarking in Paris at the end of the cruise.
The Seine River, a prominent waterway in northern France, flows gracefully through the picturesque landscapes of the Île-de-France region. Spanning approximately 777 kilometres, its journey begins in the Langres Plateau, nestled in the country’s northeastern part. As it meanders downstream, the Seine passes through several significant cities, including Troyes, Paris, and Rouen, before eventually reaching the English Channel near Le Havre.
With an extensive watershed covering around 78,000 square kilometres, it boasts one of the largest drainage basins in France. Tributaries, such as the Marne, Oise, Eure, and Yonne rivers, contribute to its flow. The river’s estuary near Le Havre is a vital maritime gateway for France, facilitating access to the English Channel and the North Sea. The Seine River’s diverse surroundings, encompassing charming countryside and thriving urban centres, make it a key cultural, economic, and environmental asset for the country.
Along its course, historical bridges add to the river’s allure, making it an attractive destination for tourists seeking to uncover its rich heritage and breathtaking beauty through delightful river cruises.
