Paris & Normandy FAQ

Find answers to some of the most common questions about river cruising here.

Where will I be dining during the cruise?

The S.S Joie De Vivre boasts a wonderful restaurant, ‘Le Restaurant Pigalle’ on deck Balzac! However, you may also choose to eat off-ship; this is arranged for you on some of our tours, but if you’re choosing to go solo, you can take your pick of any of the local restaurants.

When does the optional extension take place?

The extension takes place before your river cruise commences. You’d spend two nights at a hotel in Paris before boarding the S.S Joie De Vivre.

What clothes should I pack for the Paris & Normandy cruise?

You can pack whatever you like! Sunglasses are obviously a holiday must-have, but other than that we suggest you pack a mix of clothing for different weather conditions; whilst Paris most likely won’t be freezing, we wouldn’t discourage you from a jumper or two despite the predicted humidity.
