Vienna and the Blue Danube FAQ
Is there a Doctor on board the ship?
There isn’t a residential doctor on board the Spirit of the Danube but there is a trained first aider. If you are bringing medication with you that you take regularly, it can be helpful to have details of this written down and kept in a prominent location in case you are taken ill during your holiday.
What are Gentle Walker Groups?
If an excursion is classified as a Walking Grade 4 or higher, then there will always be a Gentle Walker group tour as an alternative. Gentle Walker groups follow a slightly different itinerary selecting different highlights that avoid steep inclines or descents and at a slower pace. They also feature more solo exploration time, so some guests choose them anyway if they want the freedom to discover a location independently.
When is the balance payment due for my cruise?
The balance is due no later than 90 days before your sailing date. You can pay online by clicking on ‘Manage My Booking’ or phone up and make a card payment. You can use a different card from the one you used for the deposit. We don’t retain card details, so if you want to use the same card, you must either pay online or call our booking team.
