Blue Danube Discovery Cruise Review

“It was the low passenger numbers that sold this cruise to us, that and the traditional style and quality of the vessel which was as important to us as the port excursions. Everything is beautifully organised and luxurious, and this theme continues when you go ashore as the itineraries are meticulously planned with a mix of famous landmarks and more unusual and thoughtful tours. We’ve cruised the Danube before, but this voyage was a real notch up.”

Blue Danube Discovery FAQ

One of our guests has a restricted diet for medical reasons. Can you cater for him?

Our gourmet chefs can produce individually tailored menus to suit guests with allergies or restricted diets; just let us know when you book. We offer daily vegetarian and vegan dishes in all onboard restaurants, with local produce, taste and flavour always the priority for our international and regional menus.

One of our party is recovering from an operation. They are fit to travel but may need more support. Can you accommodate them?

The low passenger numbers on AmaLea make this vessel the perfect choice for passengers with limited mobility or who use a wheelchair. Let us know your precise requirements when you book, and we can help plan your stay and also tailor all the port excursions to ensure everyone has a great time.

Do I need a Covid vaccination to travel on the AmaLea?

We always ask guests about their vaccination status and encourage all passengers to ensure they are fully vaccinated before they travel. We follow current Covid guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation and local regulations in the countries and regions we sail through. Your health and wellbeing are our top priority, so all our staff are fully vaccinated.
