Our 7-night Castles Along The Rhine Cruise delivers an exciting blend of European sceneries and splendour both on-board and off-board your luxury ship. From Switzerland to the Netherlands, enjoy the cultural and architectural glories of each region in peak style and comfort.
Day 1
Basel
Arrive at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. You will be met by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the ship if your cruise package includes a group arrival transfer or if you bought a private arrival transfer.
Day 2
Breisach
Enjoy your leisure time before arriving at Breisach, where you can go on a guided tour of an Alsatian wine village and get to taste Kugelhopf, an Alsatian speciality.
A special Captain’s Welcome Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you this evening.
Day 3
Kehl
Embark on a walking tour through the streets of Strasbourg.
Visit the Black Forest or use your free afternoon to explore Strasbourg independently.
Day 4
Mannheim
Experience the Speyer’s Climbing Forest. Or, visit the Technik Museum and its many thousands of exhibits. Visit the Weinessiggut Doktorenhof estate for a vinegar tasting.
Enjoy a drive to Hockenheim. Or, experience a masterful culinary experience with a class taught by an experienced chef. Alternatively, tour Heidelberg.
Day 5
Rüdesheim / Boppard
Visit the Castle Vollrads and sample exquisite wines.
Visit the Niederwald Monument before taking a half-hour hike through the vineyards. Or, take a trip into town.
Stroll through Boppard with a stop for ice cream. Or, cycle along the Rhine promenade.
Hike up to the Gedeonseck.
Day 6
Boppard / Koblenz
Go on a bike tour. Or, visit the Marksburg Castle. Alternatively, visit the Old Town.
Day 7
Cologne
Tour Cologne and its Old Town. Have some delicious treats while you visit the local chocolate museum.
Enjoy the Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner in the evening.
Day 8
Amsterdam
Disembark the ship and go to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. If a group departure transfer is included with your cruise package, or if you purchased a private departure transfer, you will be transferred to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Or, if you bought the post-cruise Amsterdam extension, continue your voyage.
