Grand Central Europe – Vienna to Basel FAQ

Find answers to some of the most common questions about river cruising here.

Where will the ship dock?

Uniworld ships are designed to be able to dock in small ports, extending the range and diversity of our cruises. Usually, we dock with easy access to a city or town centre but we do not have control over where we dock; the local harbour authorities determine this. Sometimes, we have to dock further away because the port is busy or because of river conditions.

Is there a laundry service available on board the ship?

The River Princess has a guest laundry on the Moselle Deck. In addition, Riverview Suites on the Rhine Deck have a free laundry service.

Can I smoke on board the ship?

Smoking is allowed on the ship’s Sun Deck but not in other public areas or the cabins, suites, and staterooms. The smoking ban extends to tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vape devices. Smoking is also banned on coaches and most tourist destinations and sites of interest.
