Each location will unveil a world of vibrancy and culture via an extensive range of excursions at your disposal, including a flamenco show, a tour of Plaza Mayor, wine tastings, and a host of exhilarating activities both on and off-board your Lisbon and the Heart of the Douro cruise.
Day 1
UK to Lisbon
Travel to Lisbon and stay at the 4-star Mundial Hotel. Dinner is included and the rest of your stay is on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 2
Lisbon
Embark on a morning tour of Lisbon and enjoy an optional Fado dinner and show in the evening.
Day 3
Lisbon
Use your day at leisure to explore Lisbon as you desire.
Day 4
Lisbon to Oporto
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Oporto. Enjoy an orientation walk in the historic city of Coimbra with lunch en route.
Day 5
Oporto to Régua to Pinhão
Visit Mateus Palace and its gardens in Régua. Enjoy a traditional Portuguese folk music show after dinner.
Day 6
Pinhão to Vega de Térron
Pay a visit to Castelo Rodrigo. Partake in a traditional Portuguese dinner on board the ship.
Day 7
Vega de Térron to Barca d’Alva
Embark on an excursion to Salamanca. After some free time, enjoy a light lunch at a local restaurant followed by a flamenco show and a walking tour of Plaza Mayor. Moor overnight in Barca d’Alva.
Day 8
Barca d’Alva to Cais de Espinho to Pinhão
Visit Quinta do Seixo for an included tour and port wine tasting. Visit a local quinta in Pinhão for dinner, wine and entertainment. Your ship remains moored in Pinhão overnight.
Day 9
Pinhão to Régua to Bitetos
Travel by coach to the city of Lamego. Explore the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios or the Gothic cathedral. Cruise to Bitetos for an overnight mooring.
Day 10
Bitetos to Entre-os-Rios to Oporto
Enjoy your morning at leisure before a tour of Oporto, complete with a port wine cellar visit and tasting. Remain moored in Vila Nova de Gaia overnight.
Day 11
Oporto
After breakfast, disembark and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
