Rhine Cruise to Switzerland Cruise Itinerary

Enjoy a magical seven nights on this unforgettable cruise through Switzerland. Beginning in Cologne and ending in Bernese Oberland, sail past the breathtaking scenery of Rhine Gorge, explore historically rich riverside towns and conquer mountains to unlock show stopping views.

Day 1

Cologne (EMBARK)

Upon arrival, transfer onto your ship.

Day 2

Koblenz

Cruise upstream through dramatic scenery, including Siebengebirge, the ruined bridge at Remagen, pretty waterfront towns and vineyards.

Explore Koblenz’s maze of medieval buildings in Altstadt; a former mint, the Four Towers and the Basilica of Saint Kastor.

Day 3

Rhine Gorge

Next on our journey upstream, we encounter the Marksburg castle then weave through a looping bend at Boppard before viewing the various vineyards and rocky outcrops scattered across the valley of Rhine Gorge. We’ll also sail past Saint Goar and many ruined castles.

Day 4

Speyer

Pay a visit to UNESCO World Heritage site the Imperial Cathedral and the neo-gothic Gedächtniskirche.

Day 5

Strasbourg

Enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town; including unforgettable sights such as the Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral, multi-towered Ponts Couverts covered bridges and the Petite France Quarter.

Day 6

Breisach & Black Forest

Hop off into the ancient town of Breisach, dominated by the impressive Saint Stephen’s Cathedral.

Continue your journey on a drive through some of Central Europe’s most stunning scenery, the Black Forest Mountains before re-joining your ship in the village of Titisee.

Day 7

Lucerne & Bernese Oberland

Explore Lucerne, often considered Switzerland’s most beautiful city and stroll down Chapel Bridge – the city’s most iconic structure.

View the snow-capped peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in Bernese Oberland, before ascending the mountain by railway for extraordinary views of the crystal-clear lakes, meadows and forests below.

Return Home (DISEMBARK)

Is Wi-Fi available on board?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available to all guests during the duration of the cruise. However, it is important to note and plan for varying levels of speed and connection.

Do I need to pack warm clothes?

Whilst we can’t tell you exactly what to expect, you can google the weather forecast close to the commencement of your trip for an idea of the weather conditions. We do recommend bringing a few warm items, since on day 7 we climb up to higher summits in Bernese Oberland.
