Day 1
Basel
Arrive in Basel and transfer by coach to board your luxury river cruiser, home for the next seven nights.
Day 2
Stanserhorn & Lucerne
We begin with a visit to a Swiss glass manufacturer in Herigswil before heading to Stanserhorn to enjoy a cable car ride with stunning views of the Alps. Experience a musical tour of Lucerne, the inspiration for composers Wagner and Rachmaninoff.
Day 3
Breisach & The Black Forest
Sail to Breisach and enjoy a drive through the picturesque and fairytale scenery of the Black Forest Mountains. Discover the region’s famous cuckoo clocks with a visit to a craft workshop before dinner on board with a solo violinist performance.
Day 4
Strasbourg
Strasbourg, the picturesque jewel of the Alsace, is the next port of call with an informative tour and visit to the Alsatian Museum housed in traditional homes and the St. Thomas Church with its legendary organ played by Mozart.
Day 5
Speyer
Explore the delights of medieval Speyer and discover historic sites and the breathtaking Romanesque Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Return to the ship for lunch and sail the beautiful scenery of the Liebfraumilch wine region.
Day 6
Rüdesheim, Rhine Gorge & Koblenz
Music enthusiasts will love the Mechanical Music Museum in Rüdesheim and then look forward to a cruise highlight, sailing the spectacular Rhine Gorge. Later, arrive in Koblenz and enjoy a guided tour of the charming old town.
Day 7
Bonn
Sail from Koblenz to Bonn and enjoy picturesque Rhineland scenery before arriving in Bonn, West Germany’s former capital. Bonn, the birthplace of Beethoven, is also home to two significant art museums and has a vibrant and historic Old Town.
Day 8
Disembark
Passengers disembark in Cologne and transfer to Brussels station for the Eurostar service to London St Pancras International or the airport for connecting flights to the UK.
