Treasures of Egypt and the Nile Cruise Itinerary

From Cairo to Aswan, enjoy a hand-crafted itinerary through the highlights of Egypt. Travel down the Nile and enjoy adventuring over the course of eight days. Visit pyramids, explore temples, dine traditionally, watch authentic entertainment and much more.

Day 1

Cairo (HOTEL STAY)

Fly to the Marriott hotel in Cairo, enjoy a welcome reception and the opportunity to meet your tour director.

Day 2

Cairo

Visit Giza ro see the Great Pyramids and Sphinx, walk through the gardens of Al Azhar Park and enjoy a lunch overlooking Cairo. Afterwards, choose between a tour of Coptic Cairo, including the Church of St Sergius, or to dine at a local traditional restaurant.

Day 3

Cairo

Use this morning’s free time for a tour through Memphis or Sakkara. Later, enjoy a Cairo city tour which includes admission to the Egyption Museum. Later still, stroll through the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar on the hunt for some memorable keepsakes.

Day 4

Cairo-Luxor (EMBARK)

Fly to Luxor and board the MS Royal Lotus to begin the cruise portion of your journey. After lunch, discover the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temples.

Day 5

Luxor-Edfu

Pay a visit to the Colossi of Memnon statues before going to the West Bank of the Nile for a journey to the Valley of Kings and Queens and the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Day 6

Edfu-Aswan

Be escorted to the Temple of Edfu, then cruise onwards to the Kom Ombo Temple. Tonight, attend a Galabeya party as part of our Insider Experience. Enjoy authentic music and food with the opportunity to try on traditional pharaonic attire.

Day 7

Aswan, Abu Simbel

Fly to Abu Simbel and visit the temple complex. Later, board a traditional wooden sailing boat and drift along the island home turned botanical garden. Enjoy dinner followed by a Nubian folkloric show.
On our Insider Experience, sail along Kitchener’s island by felucca.

Day 8

Aswan (DISEMBARK)

Bid farewell to your ship and begin your journey home.
