Make the most out of your time aboard with us and get stuck in on this eight-day adventure; tour old-world structures, wander picturesque towns guided by locals and kick back and relax during stretches of scenic sailing.
Day 1
Cologne (EMBARK)
Arrive in Cologne and transfer onto your 5-star cruise ship.
Day 2
Cochem
Explore the traditional centre of the Moselle wine trade during an afternoon guided tour. Wander pastel-coloured streets, visit quirky stores and view the multi-turreted castle looming on the vineyard-covered hillside.
Day 3
Trier
Enjoy a trip to the largest and best-preserved Roman City gate north of the Alps and the Trier Cathedral – together forming a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour many other Roman Monuments, including the amphitheatre, baths and bridge.
Day 4
Bernkastel
Wander the cobbled streets of the market square, pay a visit to the Pointed House and spot the Graacher Tor – the last remaining gate and current home to a museum of local history.
Day 5
Koblenz & Boppard
Situated at the confluence of two great rivers, this 2,000 year old city with a mighty fortress towering above is open to your exploring. Enjoy the accompaniment of a local guide while you visit its various monuments, historic squares and restored frontages.
Explore Boppard’s promenade along the river, enjoying views of vineyard-covered hillsides where the black and white spires of the Church of Saint Severus may be seen from a distance.
Day 6
Rhine Gorge & Rüdesheim
Drift through towering valley slopes, precarious castle ruins, picturesque villages and the famous Loreli Rock during our adventure through this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During lunch, we arrive in Rüdesheim for a guided tour with our local expert. Meander through the Market Place, Brömserburg Castle and the Klunkhardshof. You’ll also pay a visit to the Brömserhof, now the home of Siegfried‘s excellent mechanical music museum.
Day 7
Cologne
Take up the opportunity to view the dual-spired Gothic Cathedral before joining a local guide for an informative tour of the city, exploring its tree-lined squares and visiting one of its traditional bars.
Day 8
Return Home (DISEMBARK)
Bid farewell to your friendly crew before beginning your journey home.
