Day 1
London (DEPARTURE)
Depart from London Heathrow on a flight to Vietnam.
Day 2
Hanoi (ARRIVAL)
Touch down in Hanoi and transfer to your luxury hotel located at the heart of the city. Get to know your fellow travellers during a welcome dinner.
Day 3
Hanoi
Spend your day touring the city’s most famous historical sites and enjoy a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter. Afterwards, choose between a variety of workshops, demonstrations and alternative tours.
Day 4
Hanoi / Tuan Chau / Ha Long Bay (EMBARK)
Embark on your three-day cruise across the UNESCO-designated Ha Long Bay. Visit the Trinh Nu area and explore sunlight-filled caves.
Day 5
Ha Long Bay
Disembark in Viet Hai Village for a quiet lunch. Sightsee around Cua Van Floating Village via kayak or traditional rowing boat.
Day 6
Ha Long Bay / Tuan Chau / Hanoi / Siem Reap (DISEMBARK)
Set off early for Sung Sot Cave – the largest in the bay. Afterwards, disembark and transfer to the airport for your included flight to Siem Reap. Tonight, enjoy a choice of local restaurants.
Day 7
Siem Reap
Explore the UNESCO-designated Angkor Archaeological Park, Bayon Temple, Terrace of Elephants and Ta Prohm (AKA ‘Tomb Raider Temple’). Visit the Phare Circus for VIP seats and a backstage experience.
Day 8
Siem Reap
Watch the sun rise from Angkor Archaeological Park, join a guided tour of the temple and treat yourself to a private visit to Theam’s Gallery. You’ll also have the opportunity to view a traditional Apsara dance.
Day 9
Siem Reap / Kampong Cham / Koh Pen / Angkor Ban (EMBARK)
Journey by tuk tuk around riverside villages on your way to Kampong Cham. Board the Mekong Serenity – your home for the next seven nights. Following lunch, explore the island of Koh Pen.
Day 10
Angkor Ban / Oknha Tey / Phnom Penh
Join a walking tour of Angkor Ban. Later, pay a visit to Oknha Tey and witness the silk weaving process.
Day 11
Phnom Penh
Choose from a variety of sightseeing options. After lunch, you’ll spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 12
Phnom Penh / Oudong / Koh Chen
Enjoy a Buddhist Blessing performed by monks at a local monastery, stroll through Koh Chen and spend the rest of your day at leisure
Day 13
Phnom Penh / Tan Chau (BORDER CROSSING)
Recline on-board whilst border-crossing formalities take place – partake in a host of on-board activities. Later, explore Tan Chau, first stop after the border.
Day 14
Tan Chau / Evergreen Island / Sa Dec
Journey via a small boat along the tributaries that surround Tan Chau, passing a floating fish farm. After, enjoy a rickshaw tour, visit a local silk and rattan weaving workshop and pay a visit to Evergreen Island.
Day 15
Sa Dec / Cai Be / My Tho
Board a small tender boat on a journey to the French Gothic Cathedral and colourful port area. Visit a rice paper manufacturer to learn about how this Vietnamese staple is made.
Day 16
My Tho / Ho Chi Minh City (DISEMBARK)
Disembark in My Tho and continue on to Ho Chi MInh City – once known as Saigon. A range of activities await before sitting down to dinner at your hotel.
Day 17
Ho Chi Minh City
Journey by speedboat to the Cu Chi Tunnels, meet a Master Distiller at Lady Trieu Gin Distillery and savour dinner at the highly acclaimed Vietnam House restaurant.
Day 18
Ho Chi Minh City (DEPARTURE)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
Day 19
London (ARRIVAL)
Arrive back in London.
