Today is all about APT’s legendary Signature Experiences. Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels built by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, or meet a Master Gin Distiller and enjoy a private tasting. Dinner is at the internationally renowned Vietnam House.
Day Four is all about Freedom of Choice options. Take a walking tour of Ho Chi Minh City or see the sights from the back of a motorbike. For inner peace, join a Tai Chi session or improve your Southeast Asian cooking with a culinary class. Later, fly to Da Nang and then transfer to the ancient lantern-lit town of Hoi An.
Enjoy a Signature Experience in Hoi An with a visit to the local market to find ingredients for an exclusive cookery class. A guided tour of this ancient and cultural town includes the Japanese Covered Bridge and a visit to a local handicraft workshop. Later on, travel by boat along the Thu Bon River.
Witness authentic Vietnamese rural life on an agricultural eco-tour with APT’s Signature Experience. Observe different farming activities, then explore the coconut palm jungle by basket boat. Guests also visit Hue, the former Imperial Capital, travelling via Da Nang and over the stunningly scenic Hai Van Pass.
Enjoy afternoon tea as you sail Hue’s Perfume River. Visit the Imperial Citadel and wander among the monuments built during the Nguyen Dynasty. Guests also visit the Tien Mu Pagoda Buddhist Monastery with its beautiful gardens.
Before flying to Hanoi from Phu Bai International Airport, snatch a little time to wander through the vibrant and colourful Dong Ba market. Dine at the acclaimed Spice Garden Restaurant in Hanoi.
You design your day. Choose a tour of the ancient village of Bat Tang, indulge yourself in a body massage at the hotel, or discover Hanoi’s French colonial architecture on a walking excursion. There is also the option of an in-depth guided tour of Hanoi, and guests can choose their dining experience.
Join a local historian for a private tour of the hotel’s famous bomb shelter before travelling by coach to Ha Long for a three-day cruise amongst the islets. Enjoy gourmet Vietnamese cuisine with the option to swim or kayak in the bay’s green waters.
Start the day on board your vessel with a Tai Chi class before disembarking later on to visit Viet Hai Village. Lunch, swim, sunbathe before returning to the ship, and then sightsee around Cua Van Floating Village, one of the world’s most beautiful destinations, by kayak or rowing boat.

Discover Oudong, a sacred place of pilgrimage, and receive a Buddhist Blessing at a local monastery. Before returning to the ship, stroll through Koh Chen and visit the copper workshops. There is also free time to explore Phnom Penh.
Your ship cruises towards the Vietnamese border with on board culinary sessions like fruit carving or creating those delicious spring rolls. Guests can relax with a spa treatment whilst your cruiser heads towards the riverside town of Tan Chau.
A small boat tour takes guests along the tiny tributaries around Tan Chau, where there is a floating fish farm. Enjoy a rickshaw tour of Tan Chau and visit a silk and rattan weaving workshop, followed by a visit to Evergreen Island, a chance to see authentic rural life by the Mekong.
Take a small tender to Sa Dec and visit the home of best-selling French writer Marguerite Duras and learn the story behind her famous novel. This is followed by a tour of a traditional Cao Dai temple before the ship cruises to Cai Be.
Leave your cruiser at My Tho and travel to Ho Chi Minh City before transferring to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for flights back to the UK.
