Amsterdam
Transfer from the airport to your luxury river cruiser moored in the heart of Amsterdam. Take time to explore this vibrant and cosmopolitan city before meeting up with your fellow passengers to dine on board in the evening.

Amsterdam
Tour the waterways of this famous city and witness the history and architecture that reflect a time when Amsterdam was one of the world’s leading ports. Or, choose a guided bike to ride to Waterland, with classic Dutch scenery and iconic windmills.
Day 3
Cologne
Cologne is one of Germany’s oldest cities and the historic capital of Rhineland. Despite the destruction of WWII, much of the ancient architecture remains, and your guided tour includes the famous cathedral as well as the picturesque Old Town.

Rüdesheim
Take to the Sun Deck to view the spectacular Rhine Gorge, a fairytale landscape, on the way to Rüdesheim. Choose a trip on the Winzerexpress to visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum or enjoy an active hike to Niederwalddenkmal.
Day 5
Miltenberg – Wertheim
Miltenberg is a picture postcard medieval village on the River Main with pretty half-timbered houses. Enjoy a walking tour or take an active hike through the forest to the castle. Later, visit Wertheim for a glassblowing demonstration at a local museum.
Day 6
Würzburg
Würzburg is at the heart of this wine-growing region. Enjoy a walking tour, including a visit to the Bishop’s Residence, beautifully restored after WWII, with an informative guide who explains just how experts recreated the original, unique design.
Day 7
Bamberg
Bamberg has one of the largest medieval centres in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. A walking tour includes the New Residence, home to a spectacular collection of artwork and paintings, plus a serene Rose Garden.

Do the shore excursions require passengers to be fully mobile?
Some of our port stops involve coach trips, so you will need to be able to board and leave the coach via stairs. Most of our inclusive tours are walking tours, which are at a gentle pace, but it is possible that the footing will be uneven due to the location – rough terrain or cobblestones; this is sometimes not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Talk to one of our friendly booking team who can chat through the excursions on your cruise with you. Often, an able-bodied companion who can help is all that is required.
