There aren’t medical services or a resident doctor on board the Spirit of the Rhine but there is always at least one trained first aider. If you are a guest taking regular medication, then it can be helpful to write down your medicines and the dosage and keep them in your cabin in case you are taken ill during your holiday.
Shore excursions are graded based on their activity level. If a tour is classed as a Walking Grade 4 or higher, there will always be the option of a Gentle Walker group instead. Gentle Walker groups follow a different route and avoid long flights of steps, stairs, and steep hills. They also tend to go at a slower pace. If you prefer the route a Gentle Walker group will take, guests are free to join them at any time.
