Day 1
Basel (EMBARK)
Climb aboard the Avalon Tranquility II and enjoy our onboard welcome reception.
Day 2
Breisach
Choose between an excursion to the Black Forest, biking alongside your Adventure Host or paying a visit to a local winery in Breisach to get a taste for the local alcohol.
Day 3
Strasbourg
Go biking with your Adventure Host or enjoy a guided tour to either the La Petite France district or a Gothic Cathedral.
Day 4
Rüdesheim-Rhine Gorge-Boppard
Here, you have the choice of visiting Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, a cable-car ride to the Niederwald Monument in Rüdesheim or a hike through the local vineyards with your Adventure Host. You can expect to enjoy a scenic cruising through Rhine Gorge and some time at leisure during our mooring at Boppard.

Frankfurt
On this day, enjoy a bike ride alongside your Adventure Host or opt for a guided tour in Seligenstadt.
Day 6
Main River Village
Take part in a serene walking tour through Main River Village to immerse yourself in local culture.
Day 7
Würzburg

Each ship in the Avalon fleet includes our signature Panorama Suites, however there’s also the option to book a Deluxe Stateroom or Royal Suite – so it really depends on your pricepoint and what you’re looking for.
Does this cruises’ outings include the opportunity for a wine tasting?
On day 2 of your cruise, during our time moored in Breisach there’s the option to visit a local winery and enjoy a tasting.
Does Avalon Waterways accept children?
In our years of experience, we’ve found that children under the age of eight years old do not typically fare well on cruise vacations, so we do not accept children under that age.
