Keep your Christmas classy on a peaceful cruise down the Main and Rhine rivers whilst our crew do their utmost to nurture your festive spirit.
Day 1
Paris
Arrive in Paris and check into your hotel.
Day 2
Paris
Independently explore the twinkling lights of Paris as leading department stores present their seasonal displays during hotly-anticipated grand openings.
Day 3
Remis & Trier (EMBARK)
Check out of your hotel and head into Reims to explore more than 140 stalls on the Christmas market in front of Reims Cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Continue your journey to Trier to view the Romanesque Cathedral, 20,000-seat amphitheater, Roman Bridge, Port Nigra and the many forests and vineyards surrounding the picturesque town.
Day 4
Trier & Bernkastel
Spend the first half of your day on a wander through Hauptmarkt, the city’s main gathering place and the center of holiday festivities, enjoy its cozy Christmas market.
Enjoy half in Bernkastel, marvel at the region’s largest Advent Calendar, displayed in the window of a local pharmacy and the arrival of Santa Claus (by boat), accompanied by swimmers carrying torches.
Day 5
Cochem & Winnigen
Walk through a wintery fairy tale at Cochem; enjoy festive lights lining the river Moselle, savour a riesling stollen, yeast dumpling, white mulled wine and many other regional delicacies. Then top it all off with an evening at Winnigen, nursing a drink of the valley’s famed riesling in one of the city’s wine taverns.
Day 6
Mainz
The famous Mainz Cathedral boasts 6 towers reaching up into the heavens and you’ll have an amazing view of them on this day-rip to the heart of Rhine’s wine region.
Day 7
Heidelberg / scenic sailing down Main river (Spessart)
Shop through Heidelberg’s Marktplatz and marvel at the Hedidelberg Tun (a replica of the world’s largest wine barrel) by morning. Enjoy scenic sailing by afternoon.
Day 8
Würzburg
Visit the Advent Market to enjoy traditional food and sweets and get involved with local artisans to witness their creative process for decorating for the holidays.
Day 9
Bamberg
Pay a visit to Maximiliansplatz, featuring a large Franconian half-timber nativity scene depicting the birth of Jesus Christ and enjoy the creations of various artists at the Elisabeth Church.
Day 10
Nuremberg (DISEMBARK)
Disembark your ship to explore one of the oldest Christmas markets in the world, enjoy a variety of homemade treats before transferring to your hotel.
Day 11
Prague
Spend your day in the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’ at the twin steeples of Týn Church and the Church of St. Nicholas at the Old Town Square. Take a stroll across Charles Bridge and wander the bustling Christmas markets.
Day 12
Prague
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your journey home.
