Day 1
Porto (EMBARK)
Arrive into Porto and transfer to your luxurious cruise ship.
Day 2
Peso da Regua (Mateus Palace Gardens)
Today, you’ll explore the spectacular Mateus Palace Gardens. In the evening, take a short drive to the 126-acre Quinta da Pacheca for a distinguished dinner.
Day 3
Castelo Rodrigo
This afternoon you’ll be conducted to the 12th century Castelo Rodrigo – a picturesque walled village. Spend the day exploring before heading back to your ship for a celebratory vintage port wine.
Day 4
Salamanca
Enjoy exploring the UNESCO-designated Salamanca on both a guided tour and under your own steam. Over an extravagant lunch with typical Spanish dishes, you’ll enjoy a traditional flamenco show.
Day 5
Peso da Régua
During our mooring in port wine territory, pay a visit to a local historic quinta to learn about the stages of wine production and enjoy sampling some of their excellent produce.
Day 6
Lamego
After breakfast, enjoy a short drive to Lamego and explore some of its attractions under your own steam. This evening is the Captain’s Dinner – followed by a colourful performance of traditional folk music.
Day 7
Porto (DISEMBARK)
Explore this fascinating city under your steam, enjoy a guided tour of its gilded highlights and pay a visit to a port wine cellar for an arranged tasting.
Day 8 - extension
Braga / Guimarães
Today, you’ll tour the highlights of Braga before heading over to the UNESCO-designated Guimaraes for another tour.
Day 9 - extension
Porto
Enjoy a visit to the refined Portugues Centre of Photography and Clerigos Tower in Porto before enjoying some free time. This evening, you may wish to go on an optional excursion to Heranca Magna for a Fado night.
Day 10 - extension
Aveiro
Travel to Aveiro for a delightful trip along the canals, touring its coveted highlights. After an ovos moles tasting and some free time to explore, we’ll return to Porto where you’ll spend the rest of your day at leisure.
Day 11
Return home
After an eventful trip, its time to say goodbye and begin your journey home.
