Travel from Munich to Budapest, or the reverse if you prefer, on an unforgettable eight-day getaway. Dive into traditions, get to know the locals, explore medieval cities and marvel at the stunning architecture scattered across our various stops.
Day 1
Munich > Nuremberg
Upon arrival, transfer to Nuremberg to commence your eight-day journey.
Day 2
Nuremberg
Explore the city on foot with your local guide, visit moving WWII sites or pay a visit to Nuremberg’s rock-cut cellars for a beer tasting under the city.
Day 3
Regensburg
Join a guided walk around the city, passing the medieval Old Town and Bavarian Forest on its border. Alternatively take a ferry on a sailing through Danube Gorge to the historic Weltenburg Abbey and sample beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries or explore Kuchlbauer’s World of Beer and sample brew produced at the Kuchlbauer Tower.
Day 4
Passau > Linz
Pay a visit to the medieval Czech city of Cesky Krumlov and discover its UNESCO- designated Old Town. Alternatively, journey to Salzburg and explore the birthplace of Mozart or stay on board to enjoy a cooking demonstration.
Day 5
Melk > Dürnstein
Enjoy a guided tour through Benedictine Abbey or embark on a riverside bike ride from Melk to Dürnstein. You can also pay a visit to the current owners of Artstetten Castle, or taste your way through the Wachau Valley sampling many regional delicacies as you go.
Day 6
Vienna
Tour the historic Bratislava or Schönbrunn Palace. Alternatively, explore Vienna on a guided cycling tour to the Danube Island, discover the Belvedere Museum or journey to Vienna’s acclaimed wine region to learn about the long tradition in wine production.
Your enrichment activity offers you the opportunity to visit Paris Liechtenstein and enjoy a glass of Austrian Sekt whilst a private classical evening concert featuring the music of Strass and Mozart commences.
Day 7
Budapest
Embark on a city tour with a piano concert, take a guided hike up to Buda Hill or journey to the nearby Szentendre, known for its museums, galleries and artists. Alternatively, learn how to make a traditional Hungarian dish alongside an experienced local.
Day 8
Budapest
Transfer to the airport for your return home.
