From Budapest to Bucharest – enjoy a show stopping itinerary spanning 9 days. Sail, tour and taste your way through a variety of venues and scenery down the Danube river.
Day 1
Budapest (EMBARK)
Arrive in Hungary and board your suite ship by 5pm.
Day 2
Mohacs
Explore Mohacs by foot with your adventure host, join a guided sightseeing tour or take a guided tour of Pecs to its 4th century Christian underground tombs, a UNESCO-designated site.
Day 3
Ilok / Novi Sad
This morning, join a guided tour of Ilok before enjoying a brief lunchtime cruise to Novi Sad. Upon arrival, embark on a walk around town with your Adventure Host or a guided tour.
Day 4
Belgrade
Discover Belgrade’s central walkway with your Adventure Host, join a guided sightseeing tour or attend an on-board lecture. This evening, you may opt to join an Optional Excursion for an authentic Bohemian Diner in the Quarter of Skadarlija.
Day 5
Golubac / Donji Milanovac (excursion to Lepenski Vir)
Today, visit the Fortress of Golubac or join a guided tour to the Mesolithic archaeological site of Lepenski Vir.
This afternoon, we’ll sail through the scenic Iron Gates Gorge.
Day 6
Vidin
Join your Adventure Host for a bike ride around town, embark on a guided sightseeing tour to the Baba Vida Fortress followed by a tour of Belogradchik or enjoy a wine tour with tasting.
Day 7
Rousse (excursions to Veliko Tarnovo & Arbanassi)
Explore Rousse’s old town by bike with your Adventure Host, join a full-day guided tour to the former Bulgarian capital of Veliko Tarnovo or join a guided sightseeing tour to Bulgaria’s largest inland port with the Holy Trinity Church.
Day 8
Oltenita / Bucharest (DISEMBARK)
Today, you’ll take a guided tour of the Romanian capital city – including the Royal Palace Square.
Day 9
Bucharest
Your getaway ends after breakfast this morning.
