A triple threat, this itinerary has been crafted to show you Africa from multiple angles. Featuring safaris, picnics, tastings and much more, you’ll enjoy hotel stays, scenic cruising and adventuring via railway on this unique adventure.
Day 1
Cape Town
Arrive at your hotel and check in. Get to know your Tour Director at the Welcome Reception.
Day 2
Cape Town
Spend a full-day exploring, stopping at the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach. Enjoy lunch and drinks at a local restaurant overlooking False Bay
Day 3
Cape Town
Choose between two featured activities – either take a cableway up Table Mountain and enjoy a scenic drive through Cape Winelands (featuring lunch and tastings) or embark on a Robben Island guided tour (featuring lunch in a local restaurant).
Day 4
Cape Town (EMBARK)
In the morning, fly to the Namibian border and arrive at your floating hotel. Spend the rest of your day settling into your stateroom, before being treated at the Welcome Reception and Dinner.
Day 5
Safaris by boat
Enjoy panoramic views offered on both the morning and evening safaris arranged for this day. Eat lunch aboard the Zambezi Queen and make the most of her luxuries at your disposal.
Day 6
Chobe National Park
Join a full-day safari of Chobe National Park by open top 4×4 vehicle and enjoy a picnic lunch on the lookout for wildlife.
Day 7
Local African Village
Get to know the locals on our arranged morning visit to one of the local African Villages. Spend your afternoon on an activity of your choosing – either on a safari, bird watching or fishing. Enjoy a festive African-themed dinner hosted by your crew.
Day 8
Victoria Falls (DISEMBARK)
Disembark your ship in the legendary Victoria Falls. In the late afternoon, join a cocktail reception followed by dinner aboard a vintage steam train. Make your way to Victoria Falls Bridge to watch the sunset over the falls.
Day 9
Victoria Falls
Enjoy a tour of Victoria Falls with a local guide before embarking on a private sunset cruise along the Zambezi River, followed by a special dinner with live local entertainment at the hotel.
Day 10
Victoria Falls / Rovos Rail
Tour of the town of Victoria Falls and enjoy a home-hosted lunch. Later in the day, head to the colonial-era rail Station where you’ll board the Rovos Rail.
Day 11
Rovos Rail – Hwange Game Reserve
Begin your day with a safari to the Hwange Game Reserve. Return to the train for a lovely brunch as scenic landscapes pass you by.
Day 12
Rovos Rail – cross into South Africa
Enjoy travelling through the scenic Marico Valley and Magaliesberg Range, leave baobab tree country to cross the Tropic of Capricorn.
Day 13
Pretoria
Arrive in Pretoria mid-morning before transferring to Johannes Airport for your onward flight home.
