Day 1
Arrive to Buenos Aires
Welcome to Buenos Aires – the beginning of your experience! Enjoy a warm welcome as you board the Scenic Ikon. Set some time aside to meet your crew and fellow guests.

We’ll spend today entirely at leisure.
Join your fellow guests in the theatre for an introductory presentation discussing the specifics of your polar adventure.
Day 3
At Sea
Another full day of sailing.
You’ll have the day at leisure to indulge in some of the ship’s fancier aspects; including onboard entertainment and classes.
Day 4
At Sea
Another full day of sailing – where you’ll have further opportunities to indulge in your ship’s luxuries and fit in some much-needed relaxation.
Day 5
Falkland Islands
Today marks your first day at this amazing sanctuary – perfect for wildlife enthusiasts. You’ll have the opportunity to lay eyes on some of Antarctica’s most iconic residents; including the Gentoo penguin, albatross, Cobb’s wren and Falkland flightless streamer duck on today’s Scenic Discovery excursion.
Day 6
Falkland Islands
Today, (weather and operational conditions permitting) you’ll have the opportunity to explore Stanley – this region’s capital. Take some time to browse local shops, admire the Christ Church Cathedral and enjoy a pint at a traditional English pub.
Day 7
At Sea
Day seven is dedicated to sailing across the Southern Ocean – where you’ll have ample opportunity to take some time for yourself.
During the day, the onboard is busy, filled with an array of lectures from our polar discovery team.
Day 8
At Sea > Cruising Elephant Island
Wake up on the Antarctic waters – a stunning environment filled with icebergs and captivating local wildlife. Join your discovery team upstairs and throw on your complimentary polar parka to make sure you don’t miss out on the breathtaking views.
Day 9
Antarctica
Today is our first day in Antartica, as we continue on our journey into this stunning environment. Enjoy the expertise of our expert Discovery Team, comprised of twenty geologists, historians, ornithologists, marine biologists and glaciologists.
Day 10
Antarctica
Today presents a Scenic Discovery experience: which may include cruising on Zodiacs, stepping ashore and kayaking/paddle boarding.
Report to your Discovery Team to see what adventures are available for the day.
Day 11
Antarctica
On today’s Scenic Discovery excursion, you may wish to ask your Discovery Leader for photography tips and guidance on spotting the local wildlife.
Day 12
Antarctica
Today, we’ll cruise past Antarctica’s renowned icy mountains, before stepping ashore via zodiac for a Discovery Excursion in the polar wilderness
Day 13
Antarctica
Hopefully you packed your swimming costume – you may have the opportunity for a swim today. This ‘polar-plunge’ experience is guaranteed to occur once throughout your voyage; the Discovery Team will set up the marina and you’ll prepare to brave the freezing waters.
Day 14
At Sea
We’ll spend today entirely at leisure as we cruise the Drake Passage – the waterway connecting South America to Antarctica.
Day 15
At Sea
As this is your final day aboard, ensure you make the most of all your ship’s facilities and consolidate your experiences with a meal alongside your fellow guests.
Day 16
Ushuaia > Depart Buenos Aires
Bid farewell to your crew and fellow guests as your adventure comes to a close this morning.
