Join this flattering itinerary designed to appeal to gardeners and nature lovers – visiting scenic ports across Holland and Belgium. Get in touch with nature on a range of picturesque cruising portions and Active Excursions (like hikes and bike rides) – as well as learning about local heritages and culture through guided tours and expert-hosted lectures.
Day 1
Arrive to Brussels (EMBARK)
Welcome to Belgium – board your ship before 5pm and spend the evening settling into your suite.
Day 2
Ghent
Begin your day with one of two Discovery Excursions; either a scenic bike ride or visit to the Landscape Park Bulskampveld. You may also opt for a Classic sightseeing tour including a visit to St. Bavo’s Cathedral.
Alternatively, you may wish to opt for an Optional full-day guided excursion to Bruges.
Day 3
Bossuit
For today, guests embark on Discovery Excursions to the Flanders Field Museum in Ypres, followed by a visit through battlefields, cemeteries, memorials and private collections.
Enjoy the opportunity to experience the Last Post Ceremony.
Day 4
Middelburg / Veere
This morning, join a Classic guided walking tour through Middelburg before returning to the ship for lunch or join an Active bike ride from Middelburg to Veere.
Upon arrival to Veere, join a Classic Excursion to explore alongside a local guide. Later, back on-board, attend a lecture on botany hosted by a local expert.
Day 5
Kinderdijk / Rotterdam
Join an Active bike ride through the windmills of Kinderdijk or a Classic guided tour of the city to learn about its history. Reunite with your ship for a scenic cruise through Rotterdam harbour.
Later, experience Rotterdam on an Active bike ride, Discovery guided visit to the Floating Farm or Classic sightseeing tour of the city’s architecture.
Day 6
Zaandam / Haarlem
Today brings a half-day Classic guided tour of Keukenhof – known as the ‘Garden of Europe’.
Alternatively, enjoy some free time to explore Zaandam before reuniting with your ship for an afternoon cruise to Haarlem.
Upon arrival, bike along the beach with your adventure host, visit the Haarlem district and enjoy a lecture on botany.
Day 7
Amsterdam
Make the most of your last full-day on an Active biking tour through the Dutch countryside, Classic guided canal cruise through Amsterdam’s waterways or Discovery Excursion to the secret gardens (usually closed to the public).
Day 8
Depart Amsterdam (DISEMBARK)
After breakfast, disembark from your ship and commence your return journey.
