Day 1

Embark the Avalon Imagery II in Amsterdam in order to begin your Rhine river adventure. The day is yours to relax and explore independently.
Day 2

This morning, join your Adventure Host for today’s excursions:

You’ll have some free time this afternoon to wander Amsterdam’s vibrant streets and shop for local treats.
Day 3
Nijmegen > Arnhem
Your day begins in Nijmegen, where you’ll have a choice of two excursions:
– (Active) Bike Ride through The Ooijpolder Nature Reserve
– (Classic) Guided Tour of Nijmegen
Over lunchtime, we’ll cruise to Arnhem, where you’ll disembark for another classic excursion. Choose between:

– (Classic) Guided Tour of Airborne Museum of Hartenstein
Day 4
Cologne
Welcome to iconic Cologne, you’ll spend today on your choice of activity:
– (Classic) Guided Walking Tour through the Belgian Quarter
– (Classic) Guided Tour & Tasting at Cologne’s Chocolate Museum
– (Classic) Guided City Walk of Cologne
This afternoon, you’ll have some free time to explore the city’s local sights and businesses independently. Your day will conclude aboard, with a live performance from local musicians.
Day 5
Rhine Gorge > Rudesheim
Your day begins with a scenic sailing through the UNESCO-awarded Rhine Gorge; recline on your ship’s Sky Deck and soak in the breathtaking views, including the legendary Rock of Lorelei.
Later in the day, we’ll arrive in Rudesheim for the day’s choice of adventures:
– (Active) Hike through Rudesheim’s vineyards
– (Active) Cable-Car ride to the Niederwald Monument & return through the vineyards
– (Classic) Tour the Mechanical Music Museum
Day 6
Frankfurt
Choose your morning’s experience of Frankfurt:

Speyer, excursion to Heidelberg

Day 8
Strasbourg
Take some time to soak up the attractions of Strasbourg, home to the iconic ‘la Petite France’ district. Join your Adventure Host on one of the days excursions:

You may opt into an (£) excursion to the Maginot Line, or visit Alsace’s wine country.
Day 9
Breisach, excursion to Black Forest
Enjoy the day exploring Breisach and the striking Black Forest. Join one of the the day’s offered experiences:

– (Classic) Guided Tour to Freiburg’s medieval city centre
You may also choose to opt into an (£) excursion to the village of Colmar.
Day 10
Depart Basel
