Day 1
Arrival in the Land of the Pharaohs
Arrive in Cairo and get settled into your hotel as your journey through Egypt begins.
Day 2
Tutankhamun’s Treasures and the Alabaster Mosque
Begin at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest archaeological museum with 100,000 artefacts on display. After lunch, visit the Alabaster Mosque. This evening, join a Welcome Reception.
Day 3
Memphis, Sakkara, and the Great Pyramids
Discover the UNESCO-designated ancient capital of Memphis and see the statue of Ramses II, the Alabaster Sphinx, and Sakkara’s necropolis. Enjoy lunch at the historic Mena House. Afterward, explore the Great Sphinx and Giza complex. The evening is at your leisure.
Day 4
Coptic Cairo to the Nile
Visit Coptic Cairo before flying south to Luxor – formerly Thebes – the capital of the New Kingdom and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Board your river cruise ship to begin your Nile River Valley cruise. Enjoy a Captain’s Welcome Cocktail before dinner.
Day 5
Tombs of Kings, Queens, and a Female Pharaoh
Visit the Valley of Queens, home to mummified remains of more than 30 queens and princesses, before exploring the Valley of the Kings. See King Tutankhamun’s tomb and enjoy rare access to Seti I’s Tomb. Continue to Deir el-Bahri to see the Temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female ruler. Conclude with the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Day 6
Edfu’s Falcon-Headed God
Visit Edfu and discover the second-largest temple in Egypt. After visiting Edfu, enjoy an onboard cooking demonstration showcasing Nubian cuisine.
Day 7
Abu Simbel’s Grandeur or Aswan at Leisure
Enjoy free time in Aswan or take an optional early morning flight to Abu Simbel, a UNESCO site dedicated to Ramses II featuring four giant 70-foot statues. In the afternoon, sail in a traditional felucca around Elephantine Island. Optionally, enjoy high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel. After dinner, observe traditional folkloric belly dancing onboard.
Day 8
Philae’s Hieroglyphs and Nubian Hospitality
Cruise by motorboat to the UNESCO-designated Philae Temple complex before heading to a colourful Nubian village on Heisa Island. Meet Nubian people, visit the Cultural Center, and shop for essential oils and textiles. This afternoon, visit the Great Temple of Kom Ombo. The evening celebrates local customs with traditional Galabeya attire and toasts.
Day 9
Karnak’s Colossal Columns and Luxor’s Legacy
Spend the morning cruising the Nile from Esna to Luxor. Explore the Temple of Karnak, Egypt’s largest religious complex covering 200 acres complete with columns, hieroglyphics, obelisks, and sphinxes. The Hypostyle Hall features 134 columns standing 70 feet high, the largest room of any religious building worldwide. Visit a papyrus museum to learn ancient techniques, then tour the Temple of Luxor. Optionally, explore the Luxor Market before a special Juneteenth dinner.
Day 10
Dendara’s Goddess of Love
Sail to Qena to explore ancient Egyptian heritage at Dendara. Visit the best-preserved temple in Egypt, the Temple of Hathor – the Goddess of Love, to whom powers of joy, feminine love, and motherhood were attributed. Following your visit, sail back to Luxor.
Day 11
Presidential Palaces and Farewell to the Nile
Disembark in Luxor and fly to Cairo, where you’ll visit the Abdeen Presidential Palace, and explore multiple museums: the Silver Museum, Arms Museum, Royal Family Museum, Presidential Gifts Museum, and Historical Documents Museum. Afterwards, enjoy a special lunch at the palace before your final evening in Cairo.

Bid farewell with memories of a timeless journey
