Embark on the cruise of your dreams with a host of exceptional excursions at your disposal.

Day 1

Arrival in Cairo

On arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in for your three-night stay.

The rest of the day will be at leisure (flight time permitting). This evening, enjoy authentic Egyptian cuisine during included dinner at the on-site restaurant.

Day 2

Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum

Explore some of Egypt’s most renowned sites with today’s excursions:

Visit to the Great Pyramid of Giza and Sphinx: Drive towards the Giza plateau for a close-up view of the Great Pyramids. A little further down the hill is the Sphinx. Entry into the pyramids is available at an extra cost payable locally. For the Great Pyramid of Cheops, there’s a daily limit to the number of visitors, so there’s no guarantee of entry. After your visit, lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Visit to the Egyptian Museum: The collection of treasures from King ‘Tut’s’ tomb is the heart of the Egyptian Museum. Should the Grand Egyptian Museum be open for your departure, you will visit this instead.

Day 3

Coptic Cairo and Citadel

Uncover history and culture on today’s fascinating excursions:

 

  • Guided tour of the sights of Coptic Cairo: This morning, learn of Old Cairo’s Christian history with a visit to the 3rd century ‘Hanging Church’ before continuing to the Ben Ezra synagogues.

 

  • Guided tour of the Citadel of Cairo, including Muhammad Ali Mosque and Khan El-Khalili Souk: After lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a guided tour of the Citadel of Cairo and discover the Islamic history of the Egyptian capital. The tour includes a visit to the Mosque of Muhammad Ali and the Khan El-Khalili Souk (market).
Day 4

Cairo to Luxor

Leave Cairo this morning and transfer to the airport for an early flight to Luxor. Later, board the ship.

 

  • Visit the Luxor Library and Heritage Centre (flight time permitting): Upon arrival in Luxor, visit the Luxor Library and Heritage Centre.

 

  • Visit the Temple of Luxor: This evening, visit the Luxor Temple, a site known for its statues, unique artwork and wall carvings.

 

Return to the ship for dinner.

Day 5

Dendera

Enjoy today’s selection of excursions:

 

  • Visit the Temple of Hathor in Dendera: Visit the magnificent temple of Hathor, one of the most complete and best-preserved in all of Egypt.

Free afternoon sailing along the Nile: After your morning visit, enjoy lunch back on board as your ship sails to Edfu via Esna.

Day 6

Kom Ombo

Relax aboard the ship as you sail to Kom Ombo this morning. Have lunch on board before arriving in Kom Ombo later in the afternoon.

Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo: Dedicated to two gods, Horus and Sobek, the Temple of Kom Ombo offers inspiring architecture and a fascinating history for you to discover. After your visit, sail to the city of Aswan where your ship will moor overnight.

Day 7

Aswan

See what Aswan has to offer during today’s excursions:

 

  • Visit Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae, a Nubian village and the Unfinished Obelisk: This morning, embark on a visit to many incredible sites, including the Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae, the Nubian Village of Gharb Soheil, and the Unfinished Obelisk.

A traditional felucca ride: Following lunch back on the ship, embark a traditional Egyptian wooden sailing boat for a felucca cruise along the Nile.

Day 8

Aswan and optional Abu Simbel

Try today’s optional excursion:

 

  • Optional visit to the Great Temple of Abu Simbel: Take an early morning flight to visit the incredible temple of Abu Simbel. The Great Temple is home to colossal statues of the king and a plethora of other monumental discoveries. Price: £325 per person.
  • Free day in Aswan: Alternatively, enjoy a free day in Aswan.

Sound and light show at Philae Temple: This evening, head back to the Temple of Philae for a sound and light show.

Day 9

Edfu

Enjoy a leisurely morning sail to Edfu followed by an interesting excursion:

 

Visit the Temple of Edfu: This afternoon, visit the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples from the Ptolemaic era. After time to explore, rejoin the ship for dinner and sail back to Luxor via Esna.

Day 10

Temple of Karnak

See what stories and wonders your excursions have to offer:

 

  • Visit to Karnak Temple: After breakfast this morning, visit the Temple of Karnak before visiting a local papyrus workshop to discover how it is made and used. After, return to the ship.

Included experience: Visit the Temple of Hathor.

Day 11

Luxor West Bank and Valley of the Kings

Make the most of today’s wonderful excursion:

 

  • Guided tour of the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Hatshepsut and Habu Temple: Disembark the ship and cross the Nile to the West Bank for a visit to the Valley of the Kings. You’ll also get to visit the Colossi of Memnon, the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, and the Medinet Habu Temple.

 

Check into your hotel this afternoon for your two-night stay in Luxor.

Day 12

Luxor

Enjoy the final excursion of your cruise:

 

  • Visit to Luxor Museum: After breakfast, visit the Luxor Museum, home to a wonderful collection of high-quality artworks and artefacts found in the local area.
