Medieval Treasures Itinerary
Join this extravagant itinerary for a spectacular adventure across the Main and Rhine rivers. Visit a range of preserved medieval architecture, UNESCO-protected sites and draw-dropping landscapes as you tour, taste, bike and hike your way through a selection of coveted destinations.
Day 1
Basel (EMBARK)
Upon arrival in Basel, board your ship to begin the Medieval Treasures Cruise.
Day 2
Strasbourg
Join a tour of the city’s most spectacular sites; view the Parc de l’Orangerie, the ‘La Petite France’ district, Cathedral de Notre Dame and much more.
Alternatively, the active adventurer can opt into a guided bike tour of the city.
Day 3
Ludwigshafen / Rüdesheim
Guests may wish to pay a visit to the Mannheim Baroque Palace, join a walking tour of Speyer or visit the Speyer Technik Museum.
This afternoon, we continue sailing to Rudesheim, where guests will be treated to a wine tasting.
Day 4
Rüdesheim
Today, visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Instrument Cabinet, hike through scenic vineyards or opt to get a birds-eye view over the city on a gondola ride to the Niederwald Monument.
Day 5
Miltenberg / Wertheim
Begin the day on a walking tour of the fairytale town of Miltenberg. Guests may choose to hike to the majestic Miltenberg Castle or join a guided bike ride along the Main River.
Later, return to the ship as we sail to Wertheim, where you can choose between an informative walking tour or visit to a pretzel bakery.
Day 6
Kitzingen
From Kitzingen, choose to visit Wurzburg’s Baroque Residenz Palace, explore the well-preserved Rothenberg or join a guided bike tour of the city.
Day 7
Bamberg
Join a guided walking tour of the city’s highlights, enjoy sampling local delicacies or hop on your bike for a tour along the Main River.
Day 8
Nuremberg (DISEMBARK)
Bid farewell to Nuremberg and commence your journey home.
