Journey from Amsterdam to Budapest along three of Europe’s most famous rivers. Tour a range of popular destinations, witness historical attractions and traverse picturesque landscapes over the course of this fifteen-day itinerary.
Day 1
Arrive to Amsterdam (EMBARK)
This afternoon, board your Scenic Space-Ship and dedicate some time to settling into your cabin. Tonight, your captain hosts a spectacular welcome reception.
Day 2
Amsterdam
Kick off your adventure with a choice of excursions. Either, cruise Amsterdam’s canals, enjoy a guided walking tour of the city, bike through the city’s outskirts or join a excursion to Schermerhorn and Alkmaar.
Day 3
Cologne
Start your morning with a leisurely tour of Cologne, alongside your local guide. Tonight, an Enrich event brings you for a lavish dinner and classical concert in the Beethoven Room at La Redoute recital hall.
Day 4
Rhine Gorge / Rudesheim
This morning, report to the ship’s Sun Deck for a scenic cruising of the World-Heritage listed Rhine Gorge. Later, either pay a visit to Siegfried’s Musikkabinett and Niederwald Monument, hike through Rudesheim’s vineyards or bike across to the Schloss Johannisberg estate.
Day 5
Miltenberg / Wertheim
After your arrival in Miltenberg, enjoy a Wertheim tour and winery visit, tour Gamburg Castle or visit a local farm. You may also wish to report to a local Schnapps distiller for a unique tasting.
Day 6
Wurzburg
Today, you’ll have the option of enjoying a guided city tour with a visit to the Wurzburg Residence or transfering to Rothenburg to explore the city.
Day 7
Bamberg
Spend the day touring Bamberg’s Old Town or join an excursion to Coburg.
Day 8
Nuremberg
Early this morning, you’ll arrive in Nuremberg. Join a walking tour of the Old Town, visit the city’s historical castle and city walls or join the ‘Trials and tribulations of WWII’ excursion.
Day 9
Regensburg
Dedicate the day to one of Scenic’s free choice excursions: tour Regensburg alongside your local guide, visit Weltenburg Abbey or opt for the ‘Thurn and Taxis active walking tour’ to learn about a German Noble Family.
Day 10
Passau / Schlogen
Embark on a full-day excursion to either Salzburg or Cesky Krumlov. Alternatively, enjoy exploring the highlights of Passau alongside your local guide.
Day 11
Durnstein
After your ship docks in the picturesque town of Durnstein – pay a visit to Gottweig Abbey, join a local winemaker for an unforgettable tasting or E-bike from Durnstein to Krems.
Day 12
Vienna
This morning, we arrive in Vienna. Join your local guide on a walking tour of the highlights, and spend some free time getting to know the city on your own terms. This evening, enjoy an Enrich excursion to a classical concert at Palais Liechtenstein.
Day 13
Vienna
Spend your second day in Vienna visiting the Schonbrunn Palace, cycling to Danube Island or adventuring into the neighbouring country of Slovakia for a tour of Bratislava.
Day 14
Budapest
Spend your final full-day touring Budapest on either a hike or by coach, visiting the Hospital in the Rock, exploring the Thermal Baths or embarking on a guided hike through Buda.
Day 15
Depart Budapest (DISEMBARK)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
