Embark on a unique itinerary designed to appeal to those with an interest in beers. Explore vineyards, learn about production techniques and sample expert-recommended food and beer pairings.
Day 1
Arrive to Basel (EMBARK)
Welcome to Switzerland; unite with your suite ship and spend the rest of the evening settling in.
Day 2
Breisach (excursion to Black Forest)
Kick off your adventure on a full-day tour to the Black Forest to experience the Vogtsbauernhof, an authentic water mill and attend a traditional butter-making demonstration. Alternatively, embark on a guided tour of Freiburg’s medieval city centre.
Guests may also choose to opt into a guided morning excursion to Colmar.
The day concludes with an onboard beer lecture.
Day 3
Strasbourg
Today, either bike through the city with your Adventure Host or join a sightseeing excursion around Strasbourg – visiting the gothic, stained-glass cathedral and the La Petite France District. Guests may choose to join an Optional excursion to the historic Maginot Line.
Alternatively, enjoy some free time to explore.
Day 4
Boppard / Rudesheim / Rhine Gorge
Hike with your Adventure Host through Rudesheim’s vineyards or take an open-air cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument and ride back down through the vineyards.
Alternatively, tour the Mechanical Music Museum and enjoy a tasting of authentic Rudesheimer coffee.
Upon arrival in Boppard, enjoy some free time to explore the Rheinallee Promenade.
Day 5
Frankfurt
Enjoy biking through Frankfurt with your Adventure Host, join a brewery tour to sample beers or join a classic sightseeing tour to the city’s cultural landmarks and financial headquarters.
This evening, attend an onboard beer lecture hosted by a local expert.
Day 6
Wertheim
Spend your day on a guided walking tour of Wertheim. This evening, your beer expert will host an extravagant food and beer pairing dinner.
Day 7
Wurzburg
Opt to bike through Wurzburg alongside your Adventure Host or take a guided sightseeing tour of the city’s main sights; including the Old Main Bridge and baroque Bishop’s Residenz.
Guests may also choose to join an optional excursion to the town of Rothenburg to explore its unique fairytale atmosphere.
Day 8
Bamberg
While sailing, partake in an onboard beer and cheese tasting. Upon arrival to Bamberg, bike along the city’s canals with your Adventure Host, discover a family run hop garden to taste local beers or join a guided walking tour through the city’s highlights.
Day 9
Depart Nuremberg (DISEMBARK)
Your cruise ends after this morning’s breakfast. Disembark and begin your journey home.
