Embark on an impeccable journey along the Garonne and Dordogne, calling at an expert selection of scenic ports and historical sites. Sample local delicacies, tour castles and bike through picturesque landscapes.
Day 1
Bordeaux (EMBARK)
Your journey begins! Arrive and meet up with your ship.
Day 2
Libourne
Today, choose to embark on one of three excursions to Saint-Emilion; enjoy a Grand Cru Classe wine tasting, join an excursion around the city or set off on an active bike tour.
Day 3
Libourne
Stroll through the Bastide town and its market, visit an ancient watermill and enjoy a bread making workshop or join a Chateau Boutinet hike with a wine and tapas tasting.
Day 4
Blaye
Remain in Blaye to visit the citadel or join a Blaye to Chemin de Fer bike tour. Otherwise, travel to Bourg for a walking tour, visit to the Carriage Museum and Petrol Cistern.
Also available is a Blaye to Bourg bike tour.
This evening, attend an exclusive wine festival.
Day 5
Cussac Fort Medoc
Enjoy a Medoc Grand Cru Classe wine tasting and vineyard tour, a Margaux Vineyard hike and local specialties tasting or a Soulac-sur-Mer seaside excursion.
Day 6
Cadillac
Kick off the day with a visit to the Roquetaillade Castle for Sauternes wine tasting. Alternatively, split your time between the Roquetaillade and Cadillac Castles or pedal through the town of Cadillac for a guided bike tour.
Day 7
Bordeaux
Embark on a UNESCO city tour and enjoy a market tasting, explore Bordeaux by bike or visit the Bordeaux Cite du Vin or Bassins des Lumieres.
Day 8
Bordeaux (DISEMBARK)
Disembark from your ship and transfer to Tours, where you’ll check into the Amboise Hotel.
