Day 1
Arrive Lisbon

Day 2
Lisbon
Explore the historic Old Town and visit the Castelo de São Jorge. Then, head to the Belém district to see the World Heritage-listed Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower.
Day 3
Lisbon
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Consider joining an optional visit to nearby Sintra.
Enhance your Journey – Sintra: Journey to the Serra de Sintra mountain range. After a guided tour of Sintra, visit the World Heritage-listed Pena Palace.
Day 4
Lisbon, Porto, Embark Ship
This morning after breakfast, travel by coach to Porto where you’ll board your river ship. Later this evening, enjoy a Welcome Reception.
Day 5
Régua, Lamego, Pinhão
As you cruise this morning, take part in a Portuguese language lesson. This afternoon, visit the village of Lamego and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies. While in Lamego, visit one of Portugal’s best museums. On arrival in Pinhão, you’ll enjoy an Insider Experience.
Insider Experience – Portuguese Quinta Dinner: Enjoy traditional dishes and dessert at a local quinta, a Portuguese winery.
Day 6
Vega de Terrón, Castelo Rodrigo
Today, cruise across the border into Vega de Terrón in Spain. Enjoy some time at leisure before joining an excursion to Castelo Rodrigo.
Day 7
Salamanca, Barca d’Alva
Today, disembark and board a coach bound for Salamanca. After your Insider Experience, return by coach across the border to Barca d’Alva. Back on board this evening, enjoy a traditional Portuguese barbecue dinner.
Insider Experience – Flamenco Show: Enjoy a flamenco show and lunch.
Day 8
Pinhão, Régua
Join an excursion to Mateus Palace and its gardens.
Day 9
Régua, Entre-os-Rios
This morning, enjoy an Insider Experience. Afterwards, continue to the riverside town of Entre-os-Rios. On arrival, enjoy free time to explore at your leisure.
Insider Experience – Portuguese Quinta Port Tasting: Head to a local quinta and enjoy a tasting of port wine.
Day 10
Porto
After breakfast, return to Porto and join a guided tour before visiting a local port winery for a tour and tasting. This afternoon, explore Porto at leisure or join an excursion to the nearby city of Guimarães. This evening, back on board your ship, enjoy a final Farewell Dinner.

Disembark Ship, Depart Porto

What type of climate should I expect?
The climate of most of Central and Eastern Europe, including southern Scandinavia, is categorised as humid continental. As in Western Europe, summers are mild, but winters are significantly colder, with snowfall a common occurrence in certain locations. Greenland and the Arctic are situated in the polar climate zone, resulting in chilly weather all year-round.
Can I do my own shore excursions?
Participation in shore excursions is at your discretion. If you would like to explore independently, your Cruise Director can make suggestions as to places to visit. You must make sure to return to the ship before it departs.
Visa Requirements for Europe?
From mid-2025, all visitors entering 30 countries within Europe for stays of up to 90 days will be required to complete an electronic travel authorisation (ETIAS) before entry. Please note that some European countries outside the European Schengen Area are also included in this scheme.
