Enjoy a festive cruising along the Danube river – filled with celebration and exploration. This itinerary provides a combination of Classic and Discovery excursions – as well as ample opportunities for guests to explore independently.
Day 1
Arrive to Budapest (EMBARK)
After your plane arrives in Hungary – transfer to your ship and begin settling in for the evening.
Day 2
Vienna
This morning, begin your adventure with a scenic sailing of the Danube river – enjoying a Discovery Austrian cookie tasting along the way.
This evening, in Vienna, join an Optional Excursion to a Royal Waltz Concert.
Day 3
Vienna
Spend the day touring the Habsburg Empire on a Classic Excursion through the city’s coveted sites. Later, either enjoy some free time to explore the Christkindlesmarkt or join a guided Optional Excursion to the Schonbrunn Palace.
Day 4
Krems / Melk
Explore Krems on a guided Classic Excursion walk through the small valley town. During lunch hours, return to your ship for a scenic sailing through picturesque Wachau Valley.
Upon arrival to Melk, take a Classic guided tour of the Benedictine Abbey.
Day 5
Passau
For today, join a guided Classic Excursion around the ‘City of Three Rivers’. Later, spend some free time exploring Passau’s Christkindlmarkt. Alternatively, guests may opt into an Optional Excursion to Salzburg to learn how Austrians celebrate Christmas.
Day 6
Regensburg
Explore Regensburg on a guided Classic Excursion to the Altes Rathaus and Porta Pretoria. Afterwards, take some free time to browse the Christmas Markets and enjoy some local treats.
Day 7
Nuremberg
On the way to Nuremberg, enjoy an on-board lecture on Christmas Traditions. For your final full-day – choose between Classic Excursions to either Nuremberg’s medieval sites or Rally Grounds. Later, spend some free time browsing through the Christmas Markets.
Day 8
Depart Regensburg (DISEMBARK)
