Over the course of eight days, guests revel in an itinerary designed with music lovers in mind. Venture through ports across Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary – enjoying a range of provided Active, Classic and Discovery excursions to coveted highlights.
Day 1
Arrive to Vilshofen (EMBARK)
Begin your adventure in Vilshofen; where you’ll meet up with the spectacular Avalon Impression – your home for the next 7 nights.
Day 2
Passau / Schlogen Oxbow
Kick off your cruise on an Active Excursion hike along the trail from Oberhaus to the Ilz River. Alternatively, join a Classic guided city walk to learn more about the ‘City of Three Rivers’.
Day 3
Linz
Join a Discovery full-day guided tour of Salzburg or opt for a Classic guided walk through the city’s historic sites.
Day 4
Ybbs (excursion to Melk) / Wachau Valley / Durnstein
Today, you may wish to join Classic Excursion tours through Ybbs or Melk. Alternatively, join your Adventure Host for an Active biking excursion along some of Wachau’s bike trails.
Later, we arrived at Durnstein. Guests can choose between an Active guided hike to the city’s castle ruins or a Classic guided walk.
Day 5
Vienna
Guests can choose between an Active biking excursion, Classic guided city tour or visit to the legendary Kunsthistorisches Museum.
Alternatively, an Optional Excursion to Schonbrunn Palace is also available to guests.
Guests attend a Royal Waltz Concert as part of this evening’s Discovery Excursion.
Day 6
Bratislava
Follow your Adventure Host on an Active hike to Bratislava castle, embark on a Classic guided city walk of the Old Town and enjoy free time to explore under your own steam.
Day 7
Budapest
Today, enjoy an Active hike up to one of Budapest’s overlooking viewpoints or opt for a Classic guided sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights.
Day 8
Depart Budapest (DISEMBARK)
After breakfast this morning, disembark from your ship and begin your journey home.
