Arrive at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima and meet your Uniworld representative, who will escort you to the beautiful Country Club Lima Hotel.
Lima is known as the ‘City of the Kings.’ Enjoy a panoramic drive around the coastline of Lima in Miraflores before exploring the city’s main square. Visit the San Francisco Monastery and Casa Aliaga with a tour of the mansion led by a family member.
Transfer from the hotel to the airport and fly to Iquitos, where guests enjoy a panoramic city tour, including the colourful Belen market and stunning views of the Nanay River. Embark the luxurious Aria Amazon for a delicious reception dinner.
At the head of the Amazon, enjoy Clavero Lake by kayak or canoe, guests are also welcome to swim. Visit a remote village along the Ucayali River or explore the Yarapa River at sunset in search of the Amazon’s unique wildlife.
Today is all about the Amazon’s unique and diverse flora and fauna. Learn from a qualified naturalist who guides a tour that includes the Tahuayo River, a tributary of the Amazon, and a jungle walk through the forest at Puerto Prado.
Between the Marañón and Ucayali Rivers, explore Nauta’s exotic market with unique fruits like Camu Camu and Maracuya. From Nauta, visit the origin of the mighty Amazon at the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón Rivers.
Cruise the Marañón River, a tiny Amazon tributary. There are 64 rare bird species here, plus Taricaya turtles and other wildlife. Guests can also ride the Yanayacu Pucate River on a skiff, visit an Amazon village or go Piranha fishing.

Guests have another chance to visit Nauta after disembarking the ship. There is also a tour of the Manatee Rescue Centre, which takes in orphaned calves and rears them before release back into the wild. Transfer to Iquitos Airport and fly to Lima.

Temperatures in the Peruvian Amazon are generally hot and humid, but it can be wet, so pack a light, waterproof jacket. Guests have the opportunity to jungle walk, so bring appropriate footwear. You can also swim in the rivers and lakes so pack a bathing suit. A wide-brimmed hat is ideal to provide portable shade.
Some internet access is available on board the Aria Amazon, but the availability and speed of service are impacted by location and weather conditions.
