A small town with a focus on big business George Town is a pleasant place to visit on any holiday in the Cayman Islands. Cozumel was also the site of a major battle in the Mexican-American War, known as the Battle of Cozumel. This was a brief but bloody battle, which resulted in the death of over 200 American soldiers.
