What makes the AmaRudi different from other river ships?
The AmaRudi is an evolution of the award-winning AmaMagna, designed at twice the width of a traditional river ship and purpose-built for the Danube. It carries fewer guests in larger spaces than a conventional river cruise ship, with balcony suites ranging from 355 to 710 sq ft, four dining venues and expansive amenities including the Zen Wellness Studio and a Sun Deck pickleball court.
What dining options are available on board?
AmaRudi has four distinct dining venues. The Main Restaurant serves international and regional Danube specialities; The Chef’s Table offers an intimate multi-course tasting menu; Jimmy’s provides lively family-style dining; and Al Fresco serves fresh, vegetable-forward cuisine in an open-air setting. All menus are informed by farm-to-ship sourcing, and vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Is there a wellness or fitness facility on the AmaRudi?
Yes. The AmaRudi has the Zen Wellness Studio, one of the largest on the rivers, with space for group classes, massage treatment rooms and a juice bar. There is also a fitness centre, a Sun Deck heated pool and whirlpool, and a full-size pickleball court.
Are connecting rooms available for families?
Yes. AmaRudi offers connecting staterooms as well as triple and quadruple occupancy options, making it well suited to families and groups travelling together.
What happens if river water levels affect the cruise?
On rare occasions, water levels on the Danube can affect itineraries. If this happens, AmaWaterways arranges alternatives such as sister ships, overland transfers or adjusted schedules, always prioritising guest comfort and continuity.
